Here’s a photo of friends who ride with me quite often on a very convenient and fun loop.  Take the rail road grade, located behind our King Realty office in Cable, south for about 2 miles where you cross the trestle over the Namekagon River (See photo of my friends Jeff and Kristen).  Then, once across the river, continue south on the RR grade for about 1/4 mile.  Turn left on a single track trail that goes east, up and down hills, for about a mile.  This trail eventually turns into Parker Rd.  Stay on Parker Rd. until it intersects Randysek Rd.  If you want a short loop, turn left and head back to Cable (total ride approximately 5 miles), or, turn right and head to the top of Randysek Rd.  Once at the top of Randysek, you can keep going and access
the Short and Fat Race course, or, turn left and access the Ojibwa Trail(single track), or the North end ski trails – including access to the famous Birkebeiner and Kortelopet trails.  All kinds of fun mountain biking.  The bike and ski trails around Cable are fabulous!  Have fun, BK
