CABLE, WISCONSIN 4TH OF JULY

How did you spend your 4th of July?

Cable, WI, was a great place to be on the 4th of July.

Almost 400 people (all ages) signed up for the 5K/10 K CARE walk/run raising funds for Cable’s emergency relief.  King Realty was a proud sponsor, and Wendy was a happy race volunteer.

Both Bill King and Cathy Midwood were in Cable’s famous 4th of July parade.  Thousands of people came to watch, and children received star-spangled balloons – fun and festive!  Bill rode his Salsa Mukluk fat bike  with the Chequama Mamas bike group – promoting the fabulous mountain biking and road biking in our our area.  Cathy led the Cable Lion’s Club children’s parade with her Newfoundland puppy Scout.  Tho tuckered out by the end of the parade, Scout proved she has a Lion’s heart!

After the parade, everyone headed to the Cable Rec Park for the Lion’s Club picnic – burgers & brats, beer & pop.  And a surprise – a flash mob of fiddlers!  The blue sky, breezy, 80 degree day ended with fireworks at the park.  Charming, small town- Cable, WI – we love our little Up North town!
