This unique, 2,500 sq. ft. log home was hand-built over an eight year period between 1970 to 1978. The log walls and oak flooring were milled from trees on the property. The two-story, stone fireplace in the living room, the stone chimney and a fireplace in the basement were constructed from rocks picked while clearing the building site.

Originally built as a private residence, the home has been operating successfully as Forest Moon Bed & Breakfast for the past 6 years. The 5 bedroom/4.5 bath structure is north woods cozy with theme rooms that include The Wolf Room, The Bear Room, The Moose Room and The Cowboy Room. The bedrooms have private baths, and there are spectacular, antique, claw-foot soaking tubs in the Moose Room and Wolf Room baths.

The 27×21 living room focuses around a gorgeous, two-story, stone fireplace. Log walls and an open log stairway to the 2nd floor bedrooms lend a true north woods atmosphere.

The 15×13 kitchen is all country charm with log accents and shelves. Dining is not formal but comprises a comfortable area between the kitchen and living room.

There is also a main floor laundry, a full basement, an attached 2-car garage and a storage pole barn. The roof and well are new.

In all, the home sits on 8.5 cleared and rolling acres. The excellent location in Seeley, WI, is midway between Hayward and Cable. Groomed trails on the property connect to the American Birkebeiner Ski Trail that also is as the Chequamegon Fat Tire Trail. If you love to kayak and canoe, the Namekagon River landing is a little over 2 miles west of this home. Between trout fishing the Namekagon and boat fishing Big Spider Lake (a short drive to the east), you have excellent angling options minutes away.

The possibilities at Forest Moon are to continue operating the home as a bed and breakfast or to move in and enjoy this wonderful log home as a private, year round residence or vacation home. Year round recreation abounds and surrounds this special property.

Appliances, ceiling fans and window coverings are included with this property. Other furnishings are negotiable.
