FISHING/HUNTING CABIN IN CLAM LAKE, WI
This 4 season, one bedroom, single story cabin 1/2 mi. north of Clam Lake, WI, is a very good buy for the hunting and fishing sports enthusiast. The cabin sits on 2.65 acres at the very end of Day Acres Rd. It has access to Chippewa Creek that flows into the W. Fork of the Chippewa River. The land is nicely wooded with tall white pines, balsam, birch and maple.
The property is at the edge of 1,000’s and 1,000’s of acres of Chequamegon Nat’l Forest that spread north, south, east and west. ½ mile north of the cabin is the U.S. Forest Service Day Lake campground and boat ramp; ½ mi. south is the Upper Clam Lake public boat landing. Other great fishing lakes within a 10 minute drive from the property are Lower Clam Lake, Spider Lake and Lake Namakagon.
Don’t miss the thrilling Red Fletch Outdoors video of fishing in Clam Lake, WI, earlier this year posted below. The first lake filmed is Upper Clam and musky fishing, then Ashland County’s Spider Lake – fishing for large mouth and northern, third, is Lake Owen and leaping smallies, and, lastly, is Lake Namakagon’s lively bass. This is just a taste of the fishing adventure waiting for you here.
A beautiful wilderness area, Clam Lake is known for its successfully re-introduced elk herd. The seller has seen many elk in the cabin yard! That is pretty unique to this north woods region.
As for the cabin – the design is simple with a living room, kitchen, dining area , bedroom and full bath. There is an 8×26 storage room that can be converted to living space. The cabin roof is being replaced this July. While there is currently no garage – there is a roofed 10×36 lean-to that provides shelter for vehicles and boats. Most furnishings are included.
