Beautiful rolling land – a well-planned and mapped trail system and a 3-acre wildlife pond!   5 food plots and camouflaged stands – including 3 permanent structures!  A handsome 3 bedroom lodge that easily sleeps 10 and a 4-car garage plus a 66×36 pole barn!   There is no good way to summarize it.  If you are looking for the very best hunting camp and lodge in the Drummond & Cable areas – this is definitely the one!

While this 80 is planned and arranged for serious hunting, I can also envision the trails as great year round fun for mountain biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.   In fact – you could spend hours on these trails – they are that good!

The cedar-sided home is a 2 story walkout that offers over 2,000 sq. ft. of finished living space.   The wrap around deck is great for entertaining and surveying the property entrance.   The open layout on the main level features an 18×10 kitchen, the dining area and a living room with a stone, wood burning fireplace.  There are vaulted and beamed ceilings in the open living/dining space.   The main floor interior and ceiling is cedar.   An 11×17 bedroom, a full bath and a combined laundry and pantry closet complete this level.

The lower level is definitely set up for planning the hunt strategy and high-fiving afterwards.   There’s a family room with a wood stove, a wet bar, a bragging wall for those trophy photos, 2 bedrooms, a full bath and a mud room walkout/entry.   Down here, you’ll find north woods knotty pine walls throughout.

The 4-car garage is very clean and comfortable.  It has an entire wall of built-in cabinets and drawers.  The spacious pole barn is handy for storing larger equipment needed to maintain the trails and feed plots, the moveable stands and boats, ATVs – you decide what you need.

I hike in the woods A LOT and like to observe nature’s transitions on a daily basis throughout the seasons.  Hiking this 80 acres was a real treat.  I chased up deer and saw plenty of droppings and a few rubbings.  There were blueberry bushes loaded with ripe fruit.  The land offers good refuge for grouse and turkey, and you will see them when you hike this property.  All in all there is plenty of cover and a variety of open hardwood/softwood forest with good visibility – both ideal for a successful deer camp.

The 3-acre pond is also a wildlife draw.  There is an osprey nest high up on a platform on the west side of the pond.  The day I observed it, an adult was feeding babies in the nest.

This property is well worth a looking over.  We are ready to tour it with you via 4-wheelers, bikes or on foot.  You won’t be disappointed, and you won’t believe you’re only 4.5 miles from town!
