Charming and rustic, this log-sided cabin is a good choice for those looking for a simple retreat on a beautiful lake Up North. Some old-timey cabin touches include knotty pine walls, 5 panel doors, 70’s wagon-wheel hanging light fixtures and storm shutters for the windows.

The single story layout consists of a living room with a wood stove, an eat-in kitchen with a farmhouse porcelain sink, 2 bedrooms, a bath with a compost toilet and a shower and a laundry area with a stackable washer and dryer. Added to that is the 26×9 enclosed and screened porch that overlooks Atkins Lake. The owners found the porch to be a great place to store the fishing rods – gotta be ready to go when the fish start to rise!

The seasonal cabin is heated with a wood stove and an electric wall furnace. There is no well, so water is pumped through a filter from the lake to the house and then leaves the house as gray water. There is a new holding tank and an electric water heater for taking showers and doing dishes.

Recent updates include new electric throughout, insulation under the cabin floor and high speed fiber optic internet.

AND THEN – there is the lake! Atkins Lake is 176 acres and 80 feet deep. The bottom is mainly sand and gravel. It supports a variety of fish including northern, walleye, small mouth bass, crappies and panfish. The clear water status makes the lake great for swimming and kayaking.

This sweet north woods cabin is set on a wooded acre with 339 feet of sand-bottom frontage.

Adventure Up North awaits you at Atkins Lake!
