Here is a cute little cabin on the shores of Marengo Lake – western exposure, hard bottom lake bed and good fishing for panfish, northern and walleye!

This 4 season, 672 sq. ft. cabin features rooms that flow into each other and give a relaxing feel to the place.  Most floors are wood-look laminate.  The heating system is electric baseboard.  The well is drilled, and the septic is a holding tank.  There is a 3-season porch that can be used as additional sleeping space in warmer weather.  The lakeside deck has a stairway down to the lakeshore, dock and picnic area.  There is also a 2-car garage – handy for storage, especially for boats and canoes!

If you don’t know much about the Marengo Lake area, here are a few cool things to do.  While there are no trout in Marengo Lake, the lake is fed by the Marengo River, and the river and its tributaries are great for trout fishing.  The cabin is 2 miles by road from the Lincoln Community Forest – 396 preserved acres that include 2 miles of Marengo River frontage, a 10-acre lake, wetlands and hiking & ski trails.  Lake Superior and the city of Ashland are only 25 miles away.  To the south you will find thousands of acres of Chequamegon National Forest with numerous fishing and hunting opportunities.
