Marisa Kahkonen spent most of her life in Baraga County before moving to Minnesota. After living several years away from the Upper Peninsula, she has returned home and relishes being back in familiar surroundings. She loves the UP and all it has to offer!

Her fondness of the UP region has driven Marisa to pursue a career that would enable her to help others by sharing her knowledge and wisdom of this area of Michigan. Today she dedicates herself to working with the clients who enter Up North Realty’s doors by providing customer service support in any way she can. With her vast knowledge of the region, Marisa is well equipped to share her experience and offer practical advice to others who share similar passions associated with the UP.

Currently, Marisa is studying to obtain her real estate license and, upon completion, is very much looking forward to assisting clients with the process of buying or selling their home. She eagerly awaits the day she can help people fulfill their real estate goals and dreams in the area she loves so much.

On a more personal note, Marisa is a wife and mother to two wonderful daughters, her youngest is in kindergarten, and her oldest, a college student. When not busy working with Up North Realty’s clients or studying for her real estate license, she spends time with her family taking part in all of the recreational activities the UP has to offer. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, beachcombing, and gardening.
